Rain Fine mist drifts gently Mostening the grass and leaves Pearl drops in my hair. Steady rain falling Rhythmic tap on the sidewalk Dampens my jacket. Large pelting drops fall Splash into pavement puddles Wet my whole body. Slashing rain and wind Flatten grass, break tree branches Soak me to the bone. Rain, in all its forms: Wet and cold None the less welcome. -MW | A Steady Being We perform each day, Life becomes routine, Neither joy or pain, Just a steady being. We act and feel and think, All becomes a blur, Vaguely conscious only Of endless repetition. One day then another, Seasons come and go, The landscape never changes, Not even when we leave. It's all a steady being, All mountains, vales are flat, We come and are and leave, And all goes on and on! -JM |
Embrace it if you can't ameliorate it.
Life should be an upward spiral not a downward plunge.
Smile at the world and the world will smile at you.
Money rarely trickles down, water does.
Many look, fewer see,
Many hear, fewer listen,
Many think, fewer reason.
There is clarity in brevity and simplicity.
There is dignity in simplicity.
