On July 9,2018, the Red Oak Victory was pulled up the Bay to The Maritime Academy in Vallejo, to have work done on its steam system. Many faithful docents from the ship were there to wave good-by, as were a number of WWOC'ers from the GGAS Osprey Nest chat. No speeches by politicians, just plenty of well-wishers and lots of fun and goodwill. The birds participated also, as can be seen in the videos, with fly by's by pelicans, gulls and ospreys. Earlier that morning, there was a pelican fest on the water. Pelicans on the Bay earlier before the ship left the dock.

Great videos! That was fun, wasn't it. So glad the hard-core locals from the WWOC all showed up. Yay us!
